Subject: VS: RF Scanner Connectivity at MY105

Hi,

For me this 1st problem sounds like there is mixing on the RF-channels.

Some channels can overhear, so one might work on other store, but

not vise versa.

Please check that all of your Piccolinks’ and your Base station is on

the same RF-channel on the same store!

If you’re using Ethernet on your BS, use RF6x1Config -program.

https://nordicid.sharepoint.com/:u:/g/EXuLFXtqyDJJvHltas-QqEoB4tjaYCWOc2UyfJUh1e0n8A?e=5TAXz7

Close the end-program, and open this Config-tool. Let it find your BS;

When you see “Base stations: 1”, click on “View”.

On this “Base station” -line right click on it, and just replace the channel.

Kind regards

Hi Shawn,

I am following up a findings on the Piccolink at one of our stores.

CASE 1: No CONFIGURATION CHANGE and NO BASE STATION CHANGE.

We exchanged the Piccolink between MY122 to MY103.

The device from MY122 was behaving properly at MY103.

But the device from MY103 was not working at MY122.

How can we check if there are problems with base station?

CASE 2: Stock Take

We are sharing Piccolink from others store during stock take.
If we follow the change of frequency, as per your instructions below. Do we need to change the same for all Piccolink handhelds used for that store?

Thanks.

Hi Joyce,

Thanks for your email. The short distance may be due to interference in default RF channels. I have attached the guide to change the RF channel. You can try to change it from the handheld side.

Changing from Hand held:

1.                                      Press shift+0

2.                                      go to settings

3.                                      enter password (default is 1234)

4.                                      select channel-> OK

5.                                      change channel-> OK

Here are the frequencies by the channels. Maybe there is something in the same frequency:

Hi Shawn,

One of our store reported that the RF Piccolink failed to connect successfully.

After some testing, we have to put it 2 feet to the base station.

Do you have any troubleshooting guide on this and kindly advise the next available option.

Device serial number attached.

Thanks.
