Hi Jin,

Thank you for a signed document. Here's how to unlock/lock reader.

How to lock and unlock the Region -setting:

To unlock your region, go with RFID Configurator, connect to your device and go to "RF-link…" -tab.

Tick on "Configure RF link.." and tick off "Region locked"

Use unlock code  BD2D3D10

Next, go to "Configure Device" -tab. Tick on only "Set RF Link…" and hit "Configure device".

Disconnect your device from RFID Configurator, open up RFID Demo, connect to your device and see that you are able to choose the any region from "Advanced Inventory" -tab.

Now, after that be sure to lock the region to new region.

Connect again with RFID Configurator, tick on "Region locked" and use lock code  61C71062

Go again to "Configure device" -tab and hit "Configure Device".

Connect once more with RFID Demo and see that you cannot change the region.

Whatever region you choose you now should always be back in the locked region.

Hi, Jin.

Region is locked, as you noticed, due to the FCC regulations.

You'll need to fill in this form, send it back to us and we can then

send you information on how to change the region.

Kind regards

Aihe: RE: Sampo S2 Socket Client Sample Application

Hi Turo,

Noted and thanks.

I've another question, see image below. I think my Sampo S2 region was locked. I'm not able to change it to Singapore region. The drop down list was disabled.

Regards,

Jin

Hi,

We don't have any custom limitations for the socket/server approach, so basically you can implement your solution as any programming language examples instruct. So if for example, you would want to implement your solution with C#, you could just follow for example this sample code https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/framework/network-programming/asynchronous-server-socket-example

See more information on how to run the C# application with mono from here(the sample starts the ThirdPartyAppPing.exe with mono): https://github.com/NordicID/ar8x_samples/tree/master/appimportsample
