Hi Jin,
The issue is probably the 1.2.0 image used, please update to a later version 1.2.3. We will have 1.2.4 version ready soon since this 1.2.3 has some other problems still on it, but for the meantime, you can use the 1.2.3 version so follow the following guides:

How to check current OS version:
- Start your favourite web browser (except Firefox because we have some problems with it)
- Log into the device by using device web address that you can find on the device’s sticker. The address would then be something like this: https://ar8xxxxx.local
- If you are able to reach the device, you should be prompted for a username and password request. The default configuration is admin & admin
- Check the device OS version. If it’s older than 1.2.3, then you have to update the device OS.
How to update the device OS:
- Log into the device as described earlier.
- Click ”System Update” and then ”Browse...”. If the OS version is really old, then ”System Update” will be found under ”Menu -> System Configuration”.
- Select recovery_1.2.3.zip and click the upload.
- Wait until you can click ”Install update” etc.
- Wait, wait and wait...
- Wait a bit more...
- The waiting is rewarded for notification of success. If you think that the browser is stuck after 15 minutes, then refresh the web page.
- After updating recovery OS, click ”System Update” and then ”Browse...”.
- Select os_1.2.3.zip and click the upload.
- Wait until you can click ”Install update” etc.
- Wait, wait and wait...
- Wait a bit more...
- The waiting is rewarded for notification of success.
- Check the OS version from the”Health” page. It should be 1.2.3.

Here are questions/comments from the developer:
Do you have the latest version of the Javasample in use? https://github.com/NordicID/ar8x_samples/tree/master/javasample
Is you Mosquitto service turned on in “System Services-General”? What are the used configurations for Mosquitto in “System Services-Mosquitto”? The Java sample default configuration assumes that the anonymous access is enabled. If you have defined a username/password combination, you’ll need to modify the code in the sample yourself.
Also, what is the OS version of your device? You can verify this from the “Health”-view.
